Buying guide

Our store is dedicated to high-quality, artist-approved limited editions on paper, aiming to make contemporary Romanian art accessible to the community.

A limited edition is a fixed number of identical prints of an artwork, made with the artist and approved by them. The number is set from the start: an edition of 50 means 50 prints, and once they are sold the edition is closed.

Each print is numbered and signed by the artist. A print marked 12/50 is the twelfth of fifty. The number tells you how rare the work is, not how good it is: every print in the edition is the same.

This is what makes an edition different from a poster, which can be printed again without limit. It also makes it a way to own a work by an artist whose unique pieces may be out of reach.

Our editions are printed on museum-quality cotton paper, in editions of 20, 50 or 100.

Each edition is signed and numbered by the artist on the bottom of the edition’s front side, certified through a hologram carrying a unique number, and comes together with a certificate of authenticity. The hologram can’t be removed without being destroyed, so it can’t be transferred to other objects.

Hahnemühle Museum Etching 350gsm: a natural white cotton art paper with an inkjet coating and no optical brighteners.

Each edition is carefully wrapped in tissue paper and rolled in a secure cardboard tube.

Editions are sold unframed. We can recommend framing studios and help you get a quote: write to us.

Until it is framed, store the edition flat between cardboard, or weigh down its four corners. For framing we recommend Museum Glass. You can keep the certificate behind the edition, inside the frame.
