Pain of the Shoe: (In) visible Fragments is Natalia Silaghi's solo exhibition presented within the first edition of P.E.V.A. awards.
Life comes with friction, the shoes we love will rub us raw. Ecaterina Vrana's Pain of the Shoe captures this truth: living life is never without pressure. Natalia Silaghi's work takes this insight further, exploaring the tension between presence and absence. The artist turns her attention to traces, imperfect objects, subtle textures, and details that escape habitual attention. By recovering and reframing these elements, the artworks put us face-to-face with what we usually dismiss as unimportant or nonexistent. Whether we ignore or simply fail to see them, these details are meaningful. The exhibition invites us to engage with life fully, to acknowledge its frictions and fragments, and to see that what is easily ignored can transform our perspective into something closer to reality.
